F1 US VISA applying procedure steps by step procedure for Indian applicants
Follow these simple steps in order to successfully obtain an F1 US student VISA. These steps may change based on the US consulates, but in general these steps are essential for Indians who wish to go to US on an F1 status for higher education. Step 1 : Complete the online DS-160 form
NON immigrant ds160 form plays a crucial role in getting you visa, take enough time to fill this form and read each and every sentence and understand and answer appropriately to it.To say you importance of DS160 this form can be called as written test for your visa interview. DS160 is a lengthy form where will be posed to many questions. Its compulsory should be " filled by candidate only" and nobody should fill on behalf of candidate. Step 2 : Pay your visa fee
You can pay visa fee by using multiple methods like using american express card,challan payment mode,credit card etc.,
- Go to your nearest AXIS BANK OR CITI BANK and show your "stanley" headed printout paper at the counter and now you can pay money in rupees
- You have to carry PASSPORT, visa fee receipt (STANLEY) , Money in rupees.
- Collect your visa fee reciept from the bank.
Once the fee is paid your CGI reference number will be activated with in 3-4 hours.
Step 3 :schedule interview
Now you have to schedule two interviews
- OFC appointment (where you will be taken photo and finger prints on this day)
- Visa Interview appointment

After creating account login
- Select new application and fill all the details
- After getting an activation of your CGI reference enter that number.
- Now schedule your appointment the dates with Dark blue colour are indicating having appointment slots select your date and now this will be your interview dates
- Again the dates appear when you click continue these dates are OFC which should be attended before interview and at the end
- Print your appointment confirmation page
- You can find two bar codes at the end one is DS160 number check that number should be matched with DS160 number
